  1. Who we are

BookBooster is operated by Totally Entwined Group Ltd ("TEG", "we", "us"), a company registered in the UK, company number 06032552. TEG is the data controller for personal data processed through BookBooster. Contact: support@totallyentwinedgroup.com.

  1. What this policy covers

This explains what information BookBooster (the application at bookbooster.io) collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. BookBooster is a tool for authors and publishers that reads your own advertising and book-sales data to show you how profitable your advertising is.

  1. Information we collect
  • Account information — your name and email address, used to create and sign you into your account.
  • Advertising data from accounts you connect — when you connect a Meta Ads account or an Amazon Ads / Amazon Attribution account, we read (read-only) your advertising performance data (such as campaigns, ad sets, ads, spend, impressions, clicks and attributed results) for the accounts you authorise. We do not create, change, pause or spend on your advertising.
  • Book sales and royalty data — data you upload or provide (for example KDP royalty reports) so we can calculate advertising profitability.
  • Connection tokens — when you connect Meta or Amazon we store the access tokens they issue, encrypted. We never receive or store your Meta or Amazon password — you sign in on their own websites.
  • Technical data — standard log data and a session cookie needed to keep you signed in.
  1. How we use your information

We use your information only to provide BookBooster to you: to calculate and show you the profitability of your own advertising, generate recommendations, and operate and secure your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising or marketing.

  1. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
  • Contract — to provide the service you've signed up for.
  • Consent — when you connect a third-party account (you can withdraw it any time by disconnecting).
  • Legitimate interests — operating, improving and securing the service.
  1. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (sub-processors) who host and operate BookBooster for us under contract, including our hosting provider. A current list is available on request.
  • Meta and Amazon — the platforms you choose to connect; data flows to us from them under the access you grant, governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Legal — where we're required to by law.
  1. Storage and security

Your data is held on secure, access-controlled infrastructure. Connection tokens are stored encrypted, and access is limited to those who need it to run the service.

  1. International transfers

  1. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you disconnect a platform, we delete the tokens for it. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it as described below, other than anything we're legally required to keep.

  1. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, request portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact [privacy@totallyentwinedgroup.com]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.

  1. Deleting your data / disconnecting

You can disconnect any platform at any time in BookBooster under Connections, which removes the stored tokens for that platform. To delete your whole account and associated data, follow the steps on our Data Deletion section below or email support@totallyentwinedgroup.com.

  1. Cookies

BookBooster uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising cookies in the app.

We may update this policy; we'll post the new version here and update the "last updated" date.

Data Deletion Instructions

How to delete your BookBooster data

You can remove your data from BookBooster in two ways:

  1. Disconnect a platform. Sign in to BookBooster, go to Connections, and disconnect any Meta or Amazon connection. This immediately removes the stored access tokens for that platform, and BookBooster can no longer read that account.
  2. Delete your account. To remove your BookBooster account and all associated personal data, email us at support@totallyentwinedgroup.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my BookBooster data". [Or use the Delete account option in Settings, once available.] We'll delete your account data within 30 days and confirm when it's done, other than anything we're legally required to keep.
