Who we are

BookBooster ("we", "us") is an author marketing platform operated by Totally Entwined Group Ltd, Newland House, The Point, Weaver Road, Lincoln, LN6 3QN, United Kingdom. This policy covers bookbooster.io and the BookBooster tools (including Social Boost and Email Boost). Questions or requests: support@bookbooster.io.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and password when you create a BookBooster account.
• Billing information — plan, invoices and payment records. Card details are processed by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.
• Tool data — content you create in your tools: scheduled posts, connected social profiles, email campaigns and your subscriber lists.
• Newsletter & waiting lists — your email address (and name if given) when you join our newsletter or a tool waiting list, always with double opt-in.
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and to improve the site.

How we use it

• To provide and support your account and tools.
• To bill you for your plan and send service emails (receipts, password resets, important changes).
• To send marketing emails you've opted into—every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the platform secure and understand how it's used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never contact your readers—your subscriber lists are yours alone, used only to send the emails you create.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who make the platform work: our hosting provider, our email delivery infrastructure, our social scheduling infrastructure, and our payment processor. Each processes your data under contract, only on our instructions. We'll disclose data if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences, plus a temporary cookie to record a plan choice while you sign up. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent via the cookie banner. Login cookies last two days ("Remember me": two weeks); preference cookies last up to a year.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymised within 90 days of closure—except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (e.g. invoices, kept 6 years). Newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export, restrict or delete the personal data we hold about you, and object to processing. Email support@bookbooster.io and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Where your data lives

Our servers are in the UK/EEA where possible; some providers process data in other countries under approved safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

We'll post any changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we'll email account holders.
