Exporting lets you download reader data for backup, reporting or migration purposes.
When to export
- You want a backup of your reader list.
- You need to review list health.
- You are preparing reports.
- You are moving platforms.
- You need to analyse reader interests or signup sources.
What may be included
- Email address
- Name
- Status
- Tags
- Attributes
- Signup source
- Engagement data where available
How to export
- Open Contacts & Readers.
- Choose the list or segment you want to export.
- Select Export.
- Choose the fields to include if prompted.
- Download the file.
- Store it securely.
Data protection reminder
Your exported list contains personal data. Store it securely, do not share it casually, and delete old exports when they are no longer needed.
Author tip
Exporting a highly engaged segment before a launch can help you understand who your most active readers are, but you should still manage email sending through EmailBoost rather than manually emailing contacts.
